All fall classes began Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Registration is still taking place. The schedule is posted on the Fall Schedule page. Please come by the studio Monday thru Thursday between 4:00-6:00pm or call (919) 383-5048 for more information.

All Encore Academy of Dance students are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 for our Holiday Party held at Encore from 10:00-12:00pm. 

Encore Academy of Dance will be performing at Light Up Durham on Saturday, December 6. At this performance we would like to give as many kids a chance to perform as possible. The pre-tap/ballet classes will be performing Me and My Teddy Bear, and the Combo classes will be performing Boogie Woogie Piggy. The Ballet III class will perform their recital dance from last year, and the Jazz III class will also perform their recital dance from last year. Also, the Tap classes from Friday afternoon to perform the Choo Choo Boogie. 

The pre-tap/ballet students will need to wear their regular dress code of pink leotards and pink tights; skirts are optional, with their black tap shoes and don’t forget to bring their very own teddy bear. The Combo students will need to wear their regular dress code of black leotard, pink tights, skirts optional, with their black tap shoes. All other students will need to wear their 2007 recital tee shirts and black jazz pants with the appropriate shoes. Tap students may wear a Santa hat if they would like. Parents please remember not to allow your students to wear their dance shoes outside. This will mess up their shoes and bring unwanted and sometimes dangerous dirt and rocks onto the dance surface.  Our performance time for Light Up Durham is during the second time slot of 10:00-11:00am. Light Up Durham requires the students to all be there at 9:30am ready to dance.  There will be no classes held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 due to Light Up Durham. All Saturday students will have a make-up class on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Pre-tap/ballet will be from 1:00-2:00pm and pre-acro will be from 2:00-2:30pm.

Encore Academy of Dance will participate in the Bahama Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Please make sure your student has the correct attire to participate. Order forms have gone home with all students, but more are available at the front desk should you need one.
