Dress Code

All students are required to be in dancewear to attend class. A dress code helps to instill discipline, as well as create a cohesive environment, and eliminate distractions.

All Classes: Please no street clothes or cover-ups. NO JEANS. NO GUM.

All class-specific dancewear MUST be purchased through Encore Academy of Dance at eadstore.encoreacademyofdance.com/product-collection. Select your student’s Class and Level. All dress code items will have the Encore logo on them, for this reason they can not be returned or exchanged. There are sample leotards that may be tried on at the studio in order to ensure purchasing the correct size. Shoe sizing kits are at the studio as well. Ask Ms. Dawn if you need help with any sizing. Encore will have some items in stock and will do a weekly order for any other items.

Dance with Me & First Steps

Leotard Style: Yellow skirted leotard with cap sleeves
Tights: Pink non-shiny footed tights
Shoes: Pink butterfly full-sole ballet shoes
Hair: Ponytail
Option 2: Encore black sweats or Encore black biker shorts

Pre Tap/Ballet

Leotard Style: Lilac skirted leotard with cap sleeves
Tights: Pink non-shiny footed or convertible tights
Shoes: Pink butterfly full-sole leather ballet shoes & caramel no-tie tap shoes (with strap)
Hair: Ponytail

Pre Acro/Hip Hop

Shoes: Sneakers (not street shoes, worn for class only)

Kinder Acro

Leotard Style: Skirted leotard with cap sleeves
Tights: Flesh-tone stirrup tights
Shoes: Barefoot
Hair: Low bun, securely pinned to the head
Option 2: Encore black leggings or Encore black biker shorts
Option 2 Shoes: Barefoot

Kinder Ballet

Leotard Style: Lipstick-pink skirted leotard with cap sleeves

Level 4+: Wine

Celestial Stars (Adult Students 18+)

Hip Hop: no jeans, any comfortable clothing the student can comfortably move in, clean tennis shoes
Tap: any comfortable clothing the student can comfortably move in, tap shoes
Ballet: any comfortable clothing the student can comfortably move in, ballet shoes or socks
