Encore Academy of Dance is more than a dance school!

Students go beyond learning wonderful technique and poise to develop important life skills and learn to be respectful, confident and conscientious young people.

Our mission is to create lifelong lovers of dance while students learn from our knowledgeable faculty, make new friends, and grow as individuals!

ABOUT ENCORE ACADEMY OF DANCE

Located in Durham, North Carolina, 5 minutes from Duke University, Encore Academy of Dance is one of the most comprehensive dance facilities within the Triangle region. 

We have two studios and nine styles of dance on offer for students from ages 18 months to adult. 

To ensure classes are suitable for all who attend, we offer a range of options across styles, age groups and abilities. Whether you are aiming for a professional career, looking to stay fit or simply ready to give dance a try, we have a class for you. 

The teachers at Encore Academy of Dance have a vast range of experience across disciplines and continue to educate themselves in the world of dance performance, choreography and education. Our collective approach is to share our love of dance while being supportive and encouraging.

VISION

Our vision is to create a community of life long lovers of dance where the magic of dance is fun, friendly and accessible. We have witnessed firsthand how dance can build character, confidence and lifelong friendships. 

This beautiful, enriching performing art is an incredible tool to teach body awareness, self-discipline and teamwork.

Through our service of teaching dance, we strive to provide exceptional mentorship and technique to our students. While high lighting to the importance of etiquette and manners, we also focus on good self-esteem and positive body image.
