Julia is a Durham native, graduating in 2024 as a North Carolina Academic Scholar, the representative to the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, and the Valedictorian for Ignite Online Academy. Previously, she attended the Durham School of the Arts, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, the National Honor Society of Dance Arts, and the International Thespian Honor Society. She is a Girl Scout volunteer and also volunteers with local animal shelters and environmental groups. She was a student at Encore for over eight years, taking Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Lyrical classes. She began teaching here by assisting Ms. Ginger with the Pre-Tap and Ballet classes and then moved on to instructing the Adult Ballet class.
Although she has begun her collegiate studies, she rejoins our team to teach pre-acro and pre-hip-hop classes.
