Madison Catalano was born and raised in Itasca, IL. In May of 2021, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She is currently a first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Duke University School of Medicine.
Growing up Madison was a competitive dancer and received extensive training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Outside the competition team, she was involved in choreographing routines for a dance ensemble and was captain of her high school team. In college, she was a two-year member of the Illinettes official dance team at UIUC. She formed a dance organization with fifty members called Mindful Movement. This organization was formed as a stress relief outlet for individuals that shared a similar passion. She also worked as a dance instructor for Universal Dance Association and taught at several camps that focused on technique, team building, and leadership skills for high school dance teams nationwide.
Dance has always been a significant part of Madison’s life, and she is beyond excited to continue her passion with the incredible family at Encore! She looks forward to mentoring and inspiring younger dancers while starting her new chapter in North Carolina!
