Our Mission Statement

We here at Encore Academy of Dance would like to welcome you to our studio. We are committed in providing quality, professional dance instruction to all dancers weather you have a dream to make dancing a career or not. We strive to teach our students not only the art of dance but to inspire our dancers to reach their own goals as dancers while promoting teamwork, personal growth and continuous improvement, in a family oriented atmosphere.

 

Our Studio

Encore Academy of Dance is celebrating it’s 9th year. It is located in Loehmann’s Plaza at 1821 Hillandale Rd. in Durham. The school offers 1750 sq. Ft. of polyvinyl coated dance surface with a floating sub-floor designed to absorb impact and minimize stress placed on the legs and back while dancing. We are not a competing school, although, if the instructor wishes to do a competition, he or she may choose which classes or which students will participate. Throughout the year we will have guest teachers for Graham, UNCG, ECU, and former NCSA graduates. Master classes and workshops with be offered. Our ballet students have participated in other dance programs throughout the triangle area. Every opportunity is given to our students to audition in some of the countries best summer intensive programs. Some of our students have gone on to NCSA to further their dance education. Selected ballet students attend NCSA dance festival in the spring.
